Can I make calls to 911 Service?
Yes, but in order to enable the E911 Service, you have to register the phone number(s) that you use for caller identification (CID). Calling 911 using VoIP services is different from calling 911 using traditional landline service and some situations may interfere with the E911 Service response. When you place a call from a registered phone number with the E911 Service, this call will be associated with the physical address related to the phone number you are calling from. If you place a call to the E911 Service from an unregistered phone number, you will have to provide the address where the emergency is need it. In this case you will be charged with a fee of up to $350.00 for each call made. ![]()
